What we hold,and what wenever will.
A small site with small obligations, written plainly. The short version: an email address if you gave us one, anonymous page statistics, and nothing else.

The short version
SOUL is a small independent site. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not build profiles on you. The only personal information we ever hold is an email address you typed in yourself, and you can have it deleted by asking.
What we collect, and why
Your email address, but only if you enter it into one of the newsletter forms. It is stored with Hostinger Reach, our email provider, and used to send the monthly letter and nothing else. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
Whatever you write in the contact form — your message and, if you give it, your email address, so we can reply. It arrives as an email and is not added to any mailing list.
Anonymous usage statistics, if analytics is enabled on this site. That means which pages were opened and roughly how people arrived. IP addresses are anonymised. We use it to work out which guides are actually useful, not to identify anyone.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links here are affiliate links, handled by the Awin network. If you click one, Awin sets a cookie in your browser so that if you buy something, the retailer knows the visit came from us and pays a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.
That cookie belongs to Awin and the retailer, not to us. We never see your name, your address, your card details or what you bought — only an anonymous count of sales. If you would rather not be tracked, you can block third-party cookies in your browser and the site will work exactly as before.
Most people find this site through Pinterest. If the Pinterest tag is active, it tells us anonymously that a visit came from a pin — which pin, not which person. Pinterest's own privacy policy governs what they do with that.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or trade your email address to anyone
- Send you anything you did not ask for
- Use dark patterns to make unsubscribing difficult
- Collect payment details — we never take payment on this site at all
- Track you across other websites
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU under UK GDPR/GDPR, or in California under the CCPA, those are statutory rights and we will honour them within a month.
In practice the answer is almost always the same: we hold an email address, and we will delete it the day you ask. One message to the contact page is enough — you do not need to explain why.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes too and the change is described here rather than quietly slipped in. Last updated 21 August 2026.
